ABOUT Stephen

I work with individuals navigating anxiety and chronic worry, relationship challenges, burnout and overwhelm, life transitions, patterns connected to earlier experiences, and concerns around body image and disordered eating. Many of the people I work with are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and a more steady, grounded way of moving through life.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, I have worked with people of all genders looking for thoughtful and meaningful guidance. I have a deep understanding of the unique needs of boys and men, informed in part by my experience growing up with four brothers. That experience gave me early insight into how boys and men learn to navigate emotions, communication, and expectations, and how difficult it can be to find space to express what they are actually feeling.

In our work together, I focus on helping you develop clear language for your internal experience, better understand the patterns that shape your thoughts and behaviors, and build the capacity to respond more effectively to challenges. This often includes learning how to share how you really feel, open up about your experiences, and feel more fully accepted.

As an avid collector (records, artwork, books, etc.), I value the trust placed in me when someone shares their story. Every piece, like every individual, is unique and deserves to be met with thoughtfulness and respect. Drawing on my 15 years of experience, I bring a steady, grounded approach to working with individuals struggling with self-confidence, emotional expression, and feeling understood.

My approach is tailored to each individual, drawing from a range of behavioral therapy skills and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Therapy can help you address the underlying beliefs that allow intrusive thoughts to take hold and create more flexibility in how you respond to them.

As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), I have advanced training in supporting people working toward recovery from disordered eating and their relationship with food and their bodies. Some clients come to me specifically for this expertise, while others find these themes emerge as part of broader work around stress, identity, or coping. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

I’d love to help you find a new path.
