ABOUT Stephen

My experience growing up with 4 brothers gives me insight into the unique needs of boys and men, while my years in clinical settings has allowed me to work with individuals of all gender expressions and diagnosis.  I have successfully worked with folks struggling with anxiety and chronic worry, relationship challenges, burnout and overwhelm, life transitions, patterns connected to earlier experiences, body image and disordered eating, and desire for deeper understanding and personal growth.  I am passionate about helping others effectively develop language around their feelings and emotions.

As an avid collector (records, artwork, books, etc…), I value the confidence placed in me when sharing their story. Every piece, like every individual is unique and should be treated with thoughtfulness and respect. Over the past 15+ years, I have steadied my hand working with individuals struggling with self confidence, sharing how they really feel, opening up about their experiences, and feeling accepted.

Support is customized to the individual’s needs using a variety of Behavioral Therapy skills and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

If you have struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health issues, therapy can help you address the underlying  beliefs that allow those intrusive thoughts to control your life. As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), I have advanced training in supporting people working toward recovery from disordered eating and concerns about their relationship with food and their bodies. Some clients come to me specifically for this expertise. Others discover these themes emerge as part of broader work around stress, identity, or coping. You don’t need to have everything defined before reaching out.

I’d love to help you find a new path.
